Summary

The principal analyst’s role is to architect, design, implement, and maintain endpoint solutions across technology domains both on premise and in the cloud.The principal analyst provides leadership and vision in endpoint architecture, strategy, and service offerings as it relates to infrastructure, automation, applications, information, and security. The principal will also assess the impact of future business needs on existing and future services and architectures.

This individual will possess the necessary skills to analyze complex issues as well as design/implement solutions which provide key visibility into the health and performance of the IT systems that help our company operate efficiently.

The position requires a deep technical understanding of the infrastructure stack as well as application performance. This role also requires the ability to approach complex issues and lead troubleshooting efforts across diverse teams.

What You'll Do

  • Implement proactive monitoring capabilities and establish related alarming and reporting.

  • Administration of event management and system monitoring platforms.

  • Monitor and research application and system performance issues, produce trending and reporting related to application performance, event management, capacity management, including on premise and cloud resources.

  • Project Leader responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring projects.

  • Identify trends and root causes of challenges, determines solutions, and makes recommendations for management consideration.

  • Troubleshoot and solve problems in a time-critical environment, working simultaneously on a variety of tasks with varying degrees of complexity.

  • Applies SRP and IT processes/methods, practices, and techniques to deliver solutions.

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for major incidents, heat moratorium, and Root Cause Analysis and other activities as needed.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years cumulative and progressive post-degree experience

Minimum 3+ years Network Experience

2+ years of experience with Wireshark

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution plus an additional 18 graduate level college credits in an area of specialty.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
