Job Brief

The Senior Business Systems Analyst serves as the liaison between the business community and the technical development team(s) who support the systems the community uses. This person is responsible for ensuring that business needs, related to those systems, are clearly understood, documented, and met. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will work closely with business system users, subject matter experts and technical resources to support business requirement efforts, document functional requirements and design specifications and support development and testing efforts.

Job Responsibilities

• Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders.

• Creates documentation ensuring that the requirements and design are complete, consistent, concise, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable.

• Conducts internal and external research to gain a better understanding of the project's subject area.

• Conducts meetings and presentations to all levels of stakeholders to share ideas and findings and to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted

• Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.

• Researches, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.

• Serves as a configuration manager for the Land department's Microsoft Dynamics CRM instance.

• Provides data analysis and reporting through the use of PowerBI and Tableau.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

Experience

This is a multi-level position.

Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years experience at Level 1 and demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of 3 years experience at Level 2, is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Additional Information

This position will serve as the project manager for enhancements and upgrades for Land's existing IT solutions along with rollouts for future technologies. In addition to understanding the business need, a deep understanding of the tools used by Land and how to configure those tools is critical. As technology evolves, this position will adopt database administrator functions. The additional functions will include database maintenance responsibilities ensuring data integrity and security, along with identifying quality data relationships for future integrations between systems to improve Land's processes.
