The City of Tacoma’s Information Technology Department has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior ABAP Developer. As an Application Development Systems Analyst, (IT Analyst, Sr. Technical) you will be a part of a project team that makes additions, modifications, and deletions to new and existing SAP Repository and Data Dictionary objects utilizing the ABAP Workbench (ABAP Editor, ABAP Dictionary, Function Builder, Workflow, Forms, Class Builder, Web services, archiving objects, HANA development studio and other integrated programming tools). This will be done while maintaining system integrity and adhering to City of Tacoma programming standards. Job tasks include managing the technical object lifecycle through the change management process including estimation, design, development and maintenance.

Equivalent combination to:
Bachelor degree in computer science or related field
Five (5) or more years directly related information technology work experience.
Experience with object oriented ABAP, forms, and web services.
Experience with any mobile applications with SAP integration is highly desired.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Some positions may require a valid Washington State Driver's License at time of appointment with maintenance thereafter.
Some positions may require incumbents to successful pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check.
Positions assigned to the Tacoma Police Department may require additional background checks which may include fingerprinting and/or a polygraph test.
