This requires us to deliver on our promises and always look for new opportunities to grow, both ourselves and our business. ## Job Purpose The Business Performance Insights team oversees and will have day to day responsibility for transforming NY and NE data into meaningful business insights that are easy to access through automated reports in Power BI and aligned to the JDx President's vision and strategy. ThePrincipal Data Analyst will be responsible for managing the processes and people required to ensure accurate data collection, processing, modelling, analysis and reporting; supporting NE and NY strategic objectives. The role will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure requirements are fully understood and the data is presented to the business in a simple and engaging way, whilst making insightful recommendations. ## Key Accountabilities + Build and maintain centralized database. + Organize, categorize, localize, synchronize and enrich data according to the business standards. + Bring together large, complex and sparse data sets to meet business requirements. + Identify enterprise data sources and collaborate with different departments across NG to enable the senior leadership to consume and leverage the data. + Lead the design and execution of the data governance, support the formulation of management techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data. + Ensure data quality, perform data cleanup and data standardization, as appropriate. + Ensure the effective sourcing, modelling and storage of data that is reliable and ready to be used to develop business intelligence. + Oversee the provision of BI / reporting on all the identified KPI areas specified in the NE/NY JDx KPI requirements document through the creation and development of BI reports in Microsoft Power BI and support the various business teams to update and maintain their BI dashboards as required. + Establish the processes for maintaining the Power BI reports and upskilling the business to use them effectively. ## Interpersonal- Experience Required + Ability to work cross-functionally and to learn and adapt to new business processes, technologies, and environments. + Highly analytical and strong critical thinker. + Strong planning and organizational skills. + Results and output orientated. + Able to understand the business need / requirements and present complex information to the business in a simple and engaging way, whilst making insightful recommendations + Proven ability to manage through change and transform an organization. ## Qualifications + Minimum 2-5 years’ experience. + Bachelor's degree (required) - in Computer Science, Finance, Business or Engineering discipline a plus. + Knowledge of predictive models and algorithms are desired. + Proficiency in Excel, Power BI and other analytic platforms is a must. + Project and/or process management skills a definite plus. + KPI reporting or management reporting experience within the Electric or Gas business a plus. + Experience of Business Intelligence reporting design and implementation. + Experience embedding processes and managing change. + Experience of Data Warehouse solutions. ## More Information This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
