Job Purpose

As the Director of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Business Design and Integration, you will be responsible for leading our Digital Process Design, Data Governance - AMI, Digital Product Delivery, User Acceptance Testing and the AMI Operations Center, across both New York and Massachusetts. Additionally, you will be required engage with senior internal and external business, IT and regulatory stakeholders to ensure overall program success, while serving as a strategic lead of the AMI program, setting strategy, policy and prioritization to deliver AMI while driving business and customer value.

Key Accountabilities

  • Create the foundation for AMI by leading the future state processes across NY and MA.

  • Ensure alignment of AMI with the global enterprise capability model (ECM), driving understanding as to where we need to invest in our people, process, and technology.

  • Deliver Data Governance for AMI in coordination with the Electric, Gas and Customer Data governance organizations.

  • Lead core data deliverables such as data definition, change management, processes and procedures, definition of data owners and data administration for the AMI program.

  • Operate as the head of product delivery for the AMI program, delivering the strategic product roadmap, prioritization and delivery execution across 8 digital product teams.

  • Lead product teams in the execution of Program Increment (PI) planning, definition of next-level prioritization, delivery execution, product demos, detailed business requirements, definition of Epics/features/user stories, and provide agile program management of their respective area.

  • Ensure the execution of all user acceptance testing, end-to-end and regression testing in conjunction with our business units to ensure all delivered functionality has met all acceptance criteria derived from our process workshops.

  • Lead core meter to cash operations unit supporting AMI, responsible for ensuring all our metering devices are reading accurately, that we validate, edit, and estimate all data as required coming into the system, while ensuring maximum billing accuracy and volume on a daily basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of experience managing a team, and 3+ years of agile product management experience is required.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large, complex, multi-functional teams

  • Demonstrated experience leading agile product teams is required.

  • Demonstrated experience with AMI operations preferred.

  • Ability to successfully bring people together and drive cooperation across diverse teams with potentially conflicting goals and objectives.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing diverse teams and individuals.

  • Strong internal and external stakeholder engagement, with experience communicating at the executive level.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; present information in a clear and concise manner, maintain effective working relationships with demonstrated maturity with various levels within the organization.

  • Must be self-directed with a strong customer focus, motivated and have high personal standards of excellence, commitment, integrity and confidentiality.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time, while maintaining strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy, and meeting strict deadlines.

Massachusetts: $196,000 - $230,000

Upstate, NY: $174,000 - $205,000

Downstate, NY: $209,000 - $246,000
