Department Overview
The Credit organization consists of 5 teams which includes Credit Operations, Credit Policy, Customer Revenue Processing, Payment Channels and Business Strategy. The teams are responsible for protecting the financial integrity of PG&E’s Utility Operations through leading collections, policies and customer payments. To be effective, we collect the greatest amount of outstanding revenue within the shortest time possible while minimizing our exposure to risk. Overall, we complete these tasks precisely and efficiently while providing the best service possible to our customers. We aim to define and drive strategies for collections, credit policies and payment channels, while encouraging a culture of safety, affordability, and employee engagement.
Position Summary
Conducts research, data analysis, and reporting to support business decision making, strategy and operations. Participates in business process improvement, quality control and other department initiatives including cross-functional projects. Develops, leads and coordinates performance, business process re-engineering, organizational change, communication and training.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $95,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $143,000.00
OR
California Minimum: $90,000.00
California Maximum: $136,000.00
Job Responsibilities
Develops and uses metrics to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations. Presents findings and recommendations to leaders.
Completes requests of moderate scope and complexity related to customer data and communicates issues identified to Manager in a timely manner and resolves advanced issues.
Analyze and report out on customer data to identify process improvements
Selects methods, approaches and tactics to resolve problems and obtain solutions
Leads mid-size projects
May participate on project teams
Track business metrics and ensure visual management of performance reporting
Develop and maintain standard, custom and ad-hoc reports
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related field or equivalent work experience
4 years of work-related experience
Ability to travel as needed to meet business needs
Valid CA driver’s license or ability to obtain by 1st day of hire
Desired:
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint and Microsoft Teams
Customer Care & Billing (CC&B)
Experience building and leading a process (i.e. reporting process, data QC, etc.)
Experience working cross-functionally and with other teams
LEAN or six sigma experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Advanced understanding of fundamental analysis and what-if modeling concepts, methods and techniques and analysis of how different factors affect business outcomes
Creative problem skills to assess and recommend solutions for complex projects
Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to support any business changes
Strong presentation and communication skills to deliver findings and recommendations to various levels of management
Knowledge and understanding of key drivers affecting business results
Excellent organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, Visio or similar software
Ability to work in team environment
Ability to prioritize, plan and communicate activities and findings in written and verbal form to department management
Understands programs, policy and operations to advise on business on meaning of data, results
