About The Position

The Workforce Analytics Consultant will be part of a team supporting Ameren to unleash the full potential of workforce data. The right candidate thrives on creating new paths in workforce related research, analyzing data, discovering insights and providing recommendations that drives business decisions, and helping HR maximize the company’s investment in people.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Research, analyze and present data and insights to help inform, influence, support, and execute talent decisions.

  • Support the HR team to identify business challenges and use data analysis to help influence changes to HR operations, processes and/or programs.

  • Partner directly with HR and business leaders to support and influence people strategy by acting as an internal consultant, understanding the business needs, synthesizing insights and recommending solutions back to business leaders and HR partners.

  • Partner across HR and Ameren to design models, projects or analytics exercises aimed at better understanding or predicting workforce risks or opportunities

  • Create, maintain, and ensure quality assurance of key human resources data sets, reports, and metrics.

  • Integrate data from various sources and systems and partner with HR co-workers to create meaningful stories that are actionable within HR and throughout the organization.

  • Summarize findings through formal presentations and provide expert level consulting to clearly and simply summarize results and actionable insights.

  • Drive data governance through data definition, data standards, controls for data usage, etc.

  • Collaborate with key partners across the enterprise (HR Team, Ameren Analytics Community, HR Technology Team, Digital IT, etc.) to develop Ameren's workforce analytics function in alignment with broader organizational efforts.

  • Perform external research and integrate workforce trends with internal insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. business, HR, statistics, mathematics, or related field) from an accredited college/university required.

  • Two or more years of relevant professional-level experience required.

  • Experience in designing visual dashboards and reports with either Tableau or Microsoft PowerBI, or other data visualization tool required

  • Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint experience required

  • Experience in working with HR and people data preferred

  • Experience working with data from PeopleSoft, Oracle Business Intelligence, and/or Workday preferred

  • Excellent executive presentation skills: ability to distill and present actionable information from complex research.

  • Ability to communicate complex statistical concepts and output to non-experts in both a written and verbal manner.

  • Exceptional business insight and strategic orientation.

Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include candidate testing and/or an individual aptitude or skill-based assessment. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates. Salary based on successful candidate's background and position's market value.
