SAM LLC Survey CAD Technician III in St. Louis, Missouri

Your Impact at SAM

As a Land Survey Office Technician, you will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables. You will report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the A/E/C industry. You will help increase project efficiency and client satisfaction by:

  • Processing data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor

  • Monitoring field crew’s production and quality assurance

  • Preparing survey plats and drawings, boundary descriptions, and alignment drawings

  • Performing quality control checks of plats, drawings, and deliverables prepared by other technicians

  • Coordinating with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met

What You Bring to SAM

  • 5+ years field and office experience with land survey projects, including but not limited to Boundary, Topographic, ALTA/NSPS Land Title, As-Built or Existing Conditions, or Construction surveys. Experience with Boundary Analysis, DTM/Surface Building, Fieldwork, Photogrammetry, LiDAR, or Data Processing are a plus

  • Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required; MicroStation experience is a plus

  • Strong communication and coordination skills are a plus

  • Proficiency in technical math, Geometry and Trigonometry, are a plus

  • Familiarity with GIS platforms, Google Earth, or similar is a plus however it is not necessary

  • L.S.I.T. Certification is a plus however, it is not necessary
