About The Position

The Supplier Diversity Analyst will support implementation of Ameren's corporate wide Supplier Diversity strategy to identify and maximize opportunities for increased Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Women Business Enterprise (WBE), Veteran/Service Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise and Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgender Business Enterprise (LGBTBE) utilization within Ameren. This position will collect and use data to establish trends, strategies and goals for the utilization of diverse suppliers. The successful candidate will work with the Supplier Diversity team and support the execution of strategy to ensure meeting Ameren’s Supplier Diversity objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collect and use standard data analysis tools, concepts and systems to conduct analysis and prepare reports for MBE, WBE, VBE, LGBT and other diverse business classifications as necessary. Conducts diverse spend and supplier research and analysis to support category strategy development.

  • Analyze data to establish trends, strategies, and goals to ensure present and future growth and success of supplier diversity. Communicate findings and recommendations to Sr. Supplier Diversity Analyst and Supply Chain.

  • Support the planning, development and participation in Supplier Diversity Symposiums and outreach events designed to increase MBE, WBE, VBE, LGBT access to opportunities.

  • Provide timely responses to supplier inquiries from the Supplier Diversity hotline

  • Educate Ameren business segments and suppliers on Supplier Diversity goals and requirements.

  • Work on a team to develop and evaluate strategies and establish metrics to support supplier diversity objectives.

  • Collaborate with Sr. Analyst Supplier Diversity to identify goods and services which can be supplied by MBE's, WBE's, VBE's and LGBTBE's and facilitate introductions of Diverse Suppliers to the business and Prime Suppliers.


Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required; preferably in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related field. One or more year of directly relevant work experience preferred. May consider recent graduate. Proficient computer skills preferred.

Career path level and salary depends upon applicant’s credentials. Open to all levels

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Good decision-making, communication, and leadership skills required. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to conduct presentations and interface with all levels of management within and outside of the Company. Attendance at meetings outside of normal working hours preferred. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain management practices and policies preferred. Travel throughout Missouri and Illinois will be required.
