SAM LLC Subsurface Utilities Project Manager in St. Louis, Missouri

Your Impact at SAM
The Utilities Project Manager (Licensed Professional Engineer) supports regional utility projects and Clients by providing overall project management, professional oversight, review, and professional seal for Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) deliverables of quality levels A, B, C, and D projects. Located in our St. Louis office, the Project Manager/P.E. will work with supporting field and office staff to produce deliverables consistent with CI/ASCE 38-22.
Provide technical oversight to include safety, quality assurance and quality control of work product, monitor field and office procedures assuring a consistent work product and client service
Facilitate continuous coordination between all stakeholders
Project Manager responsible for organizing and conducting project meetings
Lead and participate in project kickoff meetings with office and field staff
Ensure daily quality checks of field data and CAD drafting of found utilities
Conduct the review of Record Documents and SUE deliverables to support successful projects
Provide guidance and direction as needed to the local Utility Engineering project staff
Maintain effective client communication, relationships and leverage project experience to procure new work opportunities
Assist with the coordination, development and production of proposals, Statements of Qualifications and presentations, ensuring the highest quality of information and documentation output
Review implementation of established procedures and implement preventive and corrective actions
Perform other tasks as assigned to help accomplish the Company’s strategic goals
What You Bring to SAM
A licensed Professional Engineer or ability to be licensed in Illinois within 6 months from the employment date is required. Professional Engineer's licenses required for IL or MO, with the ability to also gain licensure in IA, WI, MN, MO, OK, KS, ND, SD, KY, NE, IN
Minimum of 5 years of experience related to transportation projects and/or Subsurface Utility Engineering.
Thorough knowledge of CI/ASCE 38-22 and subsequent iterations
Proficient in MS Word / Excel / Outlook/Microstation/Civil3D
Motivated to maintain relationships and develop business from new and existing clients
Possess an extensive understanding of underground utility standards and practices
Able to manage sub-contractors and manpower and delegate tasks to complete goals, objectives and schedules
