About The Position
The Sr. Project Manager position will provide oversight and support to Ameren Missouri's nuclear generation, non-nuclear generation, customer operations, Ameren Illinois's customer operations, Ameren Business & Corporate Services' business segments, and Ameren Transmission in regards to project management and controls.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide leadership, guidance, support, and training to project managers in the area of scope definition, cost management, schedule development, change management, meeting design basis criteria, risk identification and risk management for projects greater than $5 million.
Work with Project Managers and their teams to track key performance metrics for business operations and large projects in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
Drive the implementation of project management best practices, processes and policies to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals. Implement proactive, forward-looking schedule and cost management techniques.
Provide oversight and guidance for procurement of major material, engineering services and construction services contracts.
Provide safety leadership and guidance
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required. Specialization in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering, chemistry, science or a business-related discipline) preferred. Ten or more years of relevant professional-level industry experience required. Specific experience in Project Management on major projects required. Fifteen or more years of directly-related experience managing, designing, constructing, commissioning or starting-up nuclear generation, non-nuclear generation, transmission, distribution, natural gas, building, environmental remediation, and/or information technology system projects may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required. Expertise in Primavera P6 Scheduling and Analytics is preferred. Experience leading Ameren, consultant or contractor personnel preferred.
