About The Position:

The Infrastructure Automation Team is seeking to hire a Senior Software Developer. You'll be joining a dedicated, ambitious, and diverse agile team who are focused on delivering operational excellence throughout the organization.

You will work collaboratively with Engineering, Server Operations, Network Operations, Application Services, and other teams across the organization to automate and build our on-premise DevSecOps processes; Self-Healing; and End User Self Service automation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and have proficiency with multiple core technologies in our on-premise cloud environments, including Windows and Linux operating systems, Configuration Management technologies (SaltStack, Ansible), Container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker), Scripting Languages (Python, Node, PowerShell), Infrastructure As Code Development (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Packer), monitoring and setting up of alerts for Cloud components, Cloud specific networking and security components and services.

  • This position will have extensive Automation/cloud platform experience in VMWare suite (vCenter/vSphere/vRealize).

  • Provide technical guidance and develop strategic technical direction for the corporation within the scope of Cloud Platform Operations concerning product features, upgrade/migration strategies, new product/feature evaluation, and various technology solutions to improve and enhance overall operational capabilities in the on-premise/hybrid cloud environments.

  • Design CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, TFS, Artifactory, Smart Bear Suite.

  • Create standards for unit, functional test and deployment automation solutions.

  • Build scalable, consistent platform solutions with VMWare Products.

  • Engage in critical problem resolution and continuous improvement activities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization following agile methodologies.

  • Develop and implement plans for and provide operational support and life-cycle management of the services and infrastructure that reside in the cloud provider accounts.

  • Responsible for adherence to corporate regulatory and compliance requirements.

  • Manage the development, compliance, and documentation of procedures and processes required to support CI/CD & Cloud Platform Operations.

  • Provide leadership and direction to Development Teams regarding CI/CD and Cloud technologies.

  • Direct and guide vendor and consultant resources.

  • Represent Cloud Platform Operations and its technical capabilities in cross-functional meetings with business customers and other Digital departments.


  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent computer or business related major degree from an accredited college or university required.

  • Seven or more years of experience in core components of software/product delivery (infrastructure, networking, operating systems, service integration, production monitoring, and automation including scripting/programming proficiencies) required.

  • Consideration will be given to candidates with eleven or more years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree requirement.

  • Strong experience automating with vRealize Automation (VRA) and vRealize Orchestrator (VRO) preferred.

  • Fluent in at least two of the following scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Java, Java Script).

  • Relevant experience in Infrastructure As Code development (Terraform or Cloud Formation) preferred.

  • Knowledge of Configuration Management tools (SaltStack, Ansible) preferred.

  • Relevant experience in an Agile development environment preferred.

  • Proficiency with infrastructure monitoring tools such as Splunk preferred.

  • Working understanding of Container Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes preferred.

  • May be required to provide support outside of normal working hours.
