The purpose of Ameren's collegiate program is to pipeline interns and co-ops to our entry-level full-time employment openings. Our intern and co-op opportunities provide hands-on working experience, professional development, networking, and mentoring.
This general posting will be used to collect applications for our *2022 General Engineer Intern and Co-op * openings across the states of Missouri and Illinois.
The options for collegiate employment are full-time opportunities during the following time periods:
January – August Co-op
May – August Internship
May – December Co-op
Please note Ameren’s collegiate program is heavily focused on co-op opportunities to allow us to provide students with more challenging projects and experiences to prepare them for future employment opportunities.
Must be a current student pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in a General Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university required. A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above is required.

Ameren is located throughout Missouri and Illinois. Due to our current environment and focus on safety, it is possible internships and co-ops will work virtually for 2021. There may be some opportunity for office work or in the field, if our intern/co-ops can safely do so.
Location decisions will be made as soon as possible during the hiring process. If you are selected for an intern or co-op position, please note that Ameren does offer a housing stipend to interns and co-ops who are temporarily relocating, if minimum housing stipend requirements (living & attending school 50+ miles away from your working location) are met.
