WGL - ICS/OT Systems Administrator
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with expertise in Microsoft systems administration, VMware, and infrastructure management to maintain, upgrade, and manage software, hardware, and networks and application databases within an Operations Technology (OT) environment. This role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, security, and efficient operation of a 100-user environment with approximately 10 hypervisors and 50 virtual machines.
You will:
Administer, deploy, and maintain Microsoft systems, focusing on:
Active Directory (AD) administration including User and Group management, Group Policy Objects (GPO) management and organization.
Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for patching, updates and application deployment.
Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) configuration and management.
Domain Name System (DNS) management.
AD integration with other IDP applications/services
Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
Administer, deploy, and maintain VMWare infrastructure, focusing on:
VCenter management
Virtual machine deployment and migration
Server installation and management
Monitoring and troubleshooting virtualization infrastructure
Administer, deploy, and maintain security and network infrastructure, focusing on:
Installation and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls and other network gear
Firewall policies and ACLs
Security certificates through Microsoft Certificate Authority (MS CA) and OpenSSL
Monitoring and troubleshooting network infrastructure
Network and endpoint security measures to safeguard hosts and networks
Implement and maintain security protocols, including firewalls and antivirus systems.
Licensing and inventory tracking control
Administer, deploy, and maintain backup and disaster recovery (DR) infrastructure, focusing on:
Regular backups
Periodic recovery testing
DR replication
Maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures including network documentation and diagrams.
Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends.
Configure and manage VPNs and remote access solutions.
Administer, deploy, and maintain system and application databases, focusing on:
Database administration
Database design, development, and programming
Queries, reporting, and data repair
You have:
3+ years of proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems
Strong understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and LDAP/LDAPS
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail
Proven experience with Powershell scripting language
Proven experience with Microsoft systems administration (AD, GPO, SCCM, WSUS, DNS)
Proven experience with VMware infrastructure
Strong knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning
Strong understanding of certificate management
Experience with imaging tools like MDT
Proven ability to manage infrastructure deployment and server buildouts
Experience with database administration, programming and data analysis
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, and Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
Familiarity with network security practices and tools
Familiarity with tools for AD auditing and management
Familiarity with tools for inventory management
Experience working within an OT environment
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary range of $102,000 - $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
