Washington Gas Light Co. Compensation Analyst in Springfield, Virginia
We are seeking a talented Compensation Analyst to join our international Total Rewards team. This role will work collaboratively with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to administer, maintain, and communicate corporate compensation program.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Analyzes and recommends salary levels for internal and external offers. Works closely with talent acquisition and hiring managers to gather information and communicate recommendation and rationale.
Documents, evaluates and prices job using established evaluation systems.
Educates and coaches manager to ensure understanding of the company’s compensation philosophy and practices.
Participates in external market compensation surveys and analyzes published data to identify key market trends.
Benchmarks, analyzes and reports on relevant compensation metrics, ensuring integrity of data and reporting methodologies.
Participates in the implementation and maintenance of compensation systems, including system testing, data integrity audits, and data updates and maintenance.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's Degree degree in human resources, management, or related area required
3+ Years of Human Resources experience, inclusive of 1 year of compensation administration and broad-based programs, required
CCP or PHR/SHRM-CP preferred
Strong Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
Applies working knowledge, understanding, and application of Federal and State employment laws (ERISA, FMLA, FLSA, EEO, etc.)
Applies working knowledge of market-based compensation programs and practices.
