PSEG is seeking a summer intern to work with the Customer Payment Processing Operations. This department processes mail in payments, responsible for all electronic payments, reconciles all daily cash and check deposits, processes returned items, answers payment inquiries and balances the days processing to SAP and the depository bank account in addition to key entry work. The objective is to process 100% of all payments within 24 hours.

Duties may include but are not limited to:
Support the Customer Payment Processing Center (CPPC) operation in meeting scorecard targets; learn and understand the in-house payment processing technology/hardware as well as the electronic payment transactions generated by SAP and those received from external sources. Review Sox EG506 and digest the end of day balancing/reconciliation requirements. Assist with project testing as required and suggest measures to make data compilation more meaningful. Review CPPC associate responses to payment inquiries for completeness and accuracy. Distribute customer mail payments to local bargaining unit associates as required.
Job Specific Qualifications
The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Finance, Data Analytics, Econ, Computer Science, Accounting or other Business related Major. Candidate must have completed sophomore level coursework by the start of the internship program to be considered. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education, which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
Preferred Skills : GPA of 3.0 or above, familiar with SAP
All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students (must be enrolled at the commencement of the internship program) Housing, transportation, immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.

Under the law, the Company is limited in who it can share this information with and in certain circumstances it is necessary to obtain specific authorization before the Company can share this information.
