That’s why we are searching for a strategic, forward-thinking leader to serve as Managing Director, Total Rewards—someone who will shape and execute programs that attract, retain, and engage top talent for a leading Cooperative.

This is a unique opportunity to lead an enterprise-wide Total Rewards strategy that directly impacts our 700+ employees across Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. You'll work closely with executive leadership, influence key decision-making, and modernize our compensation, benefits, well-being and recognition programs to keep AECI a top employer in the energy industry.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Total Rewards team, providing guidance and strategic direction for compensation, benefits, well-being and recognition programs.

  • Advise and collaborate with executive leadership to develop Total Rewards initiatives that drive employee engagement, workforce retention, and financial sustainability.

  • Drive innovation in Total Rewards by leveraging market insights, benchmarking data, and best practices to continuously enhance programs and policies.

  • Provide leadership oversight to the Occupational Health function, ensuring proactive support for employee well-being, medical leave programs, and workplace health initiatives.

  • Oversee the human capital management system and internal/external HR information systems related to Total Rewards.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, or HR compliance, with a strong understanding of Total Rewards strategy.

  • 7+ years of leadership experience, guiding teams and influencing senior leadership on Total Rewards decisions.

  • Proven success in designing and implementing Total Rewards strategies including executive and board-level programs.

  • Deep knowledge of related federal, state and local laws and regulations.
