We are currently seeking applicants for a Civil Engineer on the Project Engineering team of our Power Production division located in Springfield, MO. In this position you would have the primary responsibility of providing technical support and construction oversight for the construction of new generation facilities. You would also develop and execute projects within the existing generation fleet as needed. Prefer someone with at least 5 years of experience, but all levels will be considered. A P.E. license is preferred.
More About What You Would Be Doing:
Review the designs and/or calculations for foundations, structures, grading plans, and other civil structures performed by architect engineers.
Oversee contractors performing civil work on site.
Assist existing facilities with civil or structural projects.
Assist and consult with the Environmental Department with Stormwater Pollution Prevention (SWPP) plans, Spill Prevention Containment and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans, and other environmental permits required for the power plants.
Manage or assist in managing procurement activities including developing request for proposals, conducting bid evaluations, and negotiating commercial terms and conditions.
Develop and write technical specifications for engineering, equipment, or construction scopes of work.
Travel approximately 25% to our generating facilities.
