As the Regional Human Resources Manager, you will report to Centuri’s Human Resources Director to partner, support, guide, and influence area Operations teams. You will lead your field team of 3 Business Partners (2 new headcounts in hiring process) and support staff to develop, implement and evaluate area specific processes aimed to attract, retain and grow talent within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Influence and guide area leadership to create a culture of inclusion and respect for all people

  • Manage total talent management for areas; identify area challenges, develop local partnerships to build sustainable talent pipelines, ensure onboarding processes are compliant, consistent, and audit onboarding process continuously to ensure efficiency

  • Use data to present recommendations and influence leadership decisions related to all things talent. Ability to challenge the status quo while also understanding differing perspectives

  • Partner with area leadership to identify high potential employees, developing workforce and succession planning

  • Align team to establish trust, values and identify area goals; identify strengths and opportunities to create long term development plans to support desired career development and continued success

  • Act as liaison within area and partner with NPL’s Labor Relations Manager on workplace issues, grievances, disciplinary action, investigations and claims in a manner that is fair and equitable, including union representatives as appropriate

  • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements

  • Lead training sessions for leadership and management teams

  • Frequent overnight travel to ensure visibility, build relationships and understand market demands

  • Perform other duties as requested by leadership

Education, Skills, Experience Needed

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 7 years’ experience

  • Ability to influence through persuasion using data, logic, and example

  • Demonstrated ability to gain and retain trust and respect through collaboration and partnership

  • Forward thinking to understand big picture goals and what it takes, big and small, to get there – ability to identify roadblocks and solutions

  • Comfortable in being autonomous and working in ambiguity while accomplishing goals

  • Ability to identify issues and bring processes and practices into compliance

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SuccessFactors is a plus

  • Solid understanding of union environment, contracts and principles of labor relations desirable Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish desirable

Working Environment

  • Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment

  • Ability to travel approximately 50%, sometimes with little advanced notice

  • Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice

  • Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing

  • Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds

Requirements

  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens

  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify

  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
