Job DescriptionThe Systems Business Analyst will be a part of the Customer Facing Technology Team and will provide functional and analytical support. This position will specialize in the support of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Salesforce. This position will be responsible for developing and improving business processes for the CRM (Salesforce). Assists with the development of application metrics across an entire business unit. Identifies business needs and requirements within the software, and the design of corresponding solutions such as process improvement, and systems/technology solutions. Works with and acts as a liaison between IT and Customer Solutions, supporting various applications, process and procedures. Functions as an internal consultant in analyzing business processes, assessing and defining customer specifications and requirements, proposing business solutions that prioritize technology and service needs to satisfy Customer Solutions requirements. Also facilitates solutions design, building and testing of the software within Customer Solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews enhancements to business processes & procedures and recommends changes to drive efficiencies & cost savings. Analyzes business processes to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. Identifies, proposes and influences business solutions, negotiates deliverables and requirements across multiple business unit leaders.

  • Responsible for the collection, analysis, review, documentation, and communication of business needs and requirements including report writing between Customer Solutions and the IT organization. Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages change to such specifications.

  • Leads the evaluation of user requests for the CRM system to determine feasibility, cost, time required and compatibility with current systems. Viewed as integral to the business regarding decisions that impact the integration of technology to the business unit. Ensures that the design of proposed system, software and hardware solutions leads to the development and growth of the business through effective use of technology.

  • Responsible for actively resolving day-to-day technology needs of the business unit with a focus on the analysis of processes and data. Includes complex systems process analysis, design and simulation.

  • Works with project manager(s), business leaders to assist in project planning and preparing project plans. Monitors the Customer Solutions project portfolio activities to ensure the quality of delivery.

RequirementsRequires a Bachelor’s Degree or 5 to 8 years experience in information systems, business administration, analytical work, or related field and 2 to 3 years experience in system analysis and design. 5-7 years experience within the Salesforce ecosystem in a support role. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Salesforce.com administrator. Salesforce.com Admin certified preferred. Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity. Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality. Strong data management abilities. Must be able to work independently, as well as a member of a team. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
