You will be responsible for managing the delivery of complex network solutions that enable, expand and/or enhance Avista’s products and services. You will provide oversight of the development, preparation and maintenance of network technology standards, engineering processes and solution design documentation. You will manage prioritization of network delivery projects and ensure network delivery resource performance and capacity are aligned with business objectives. You will provide leadership to Avista Network Delivery Engineers, ensuring performances and standards are aligned with business objectives. We expect that you will issue and execute assignments with minimal direction.

Other expectations of this position:

  • Manages the project scoping, planning, design, configuration, and installation of network systems and assets.

  • Identifies and mitigates risks to network delivery processes.

  • Implements and ensures compliance of network technology standards, delivery engineering processes and procedures.

  • Manages workload capacity and the work of the overall network delivery team to meet business objectives.

  • Responsible for budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships as appropriate for the delivery of network solutions.

  • Coaches Avista Network Delivery Engineers through professional development, core strengths and areas of growth.

  • Grows a strong and harmonious relationship with all other business units in the delivery of network assets & systems.

  • Seeks to understand and evangelize how network systems can and do enable Avista's products and services.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field of study. 7 – 10 years of relevant leadership experience within an enterprise class organization with 3 years of technical leadership experience coordinating teams or projects. Demonstrated successful development and implementation of new technologies and work processes. Process and people oriented; understanding of the value being delivered by developing and validating engineering models with business requirements. Experience working side by side with represented employees. Experience in agile/scrum delivery environment preferred. An ability to communicate with multiple types of stakeholders in various positions is a must. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
