Avista Utilities Credit Union Operations Specialist in Spokane, Washington

This position consolidates the majority of operational duties performed in the Credit Union into one position. Includes bookkeeping/accounting which includes daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. This position will also back up the Member Service Representative’s when needed.
Requires a degree in accounting or related field, or 5 years experience as a full charge bookkeeper or similar position. Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in Credit Union operations. Must have knowledge of compliance and of state and federal laws relating to a financial institution. Personal loan processing and debit card experience preferred. Demonstrated computer expertise and proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software programs. Individual must be bondable. Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Forza core system and Profit Stars ALM program would be a plus. Other combinations of education and/or experience maybe considered.
