Hybrid flexible are roles that can be performed remotely but require some level of onsite work/in-person interactions on a regular basis, require employees to live within a commutable distance and, since business needs vary by position and may change over time, managers will set expectations and flexibility regarding where and when work is performed.

Fully remote are roles that can be performed remotely, require employees to live in approved states and will have purpose-driven in-person interactions on occasion.

Job Summary

The PMO Project Controls Principle is responsible for developing and managing Projects and Construction related project schedules from Planning thru Project Closure for active projects. The candidate in this position will utilize their expertise to offer technical/analytical and functional support in the area of project controls. Candidate will work closely with other internal stakeholders engaged in scheduling process. Successful candidate will ensure projects being executed will meet the baseline schedule review process, are executed with optimal use of both internal and external resources within required timeframes, as well as within budget and scope. Observe schedule and project team members to evaluate processes adherence and quality for P6 cost loaded project schedules which support forecasting, reporting and departmental targets. The PMO Principal Project Controls Engineer will report directly to the Lead Project Controls Schedule Engineer.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement standard schedule best practice, and processes to ensure Projects and Construction projects are executed and delivered in accordance with approved project scope.

• Develop, coordinate and maintain schedule, resource and other data within Primavera P6.

• Analyze P6 schedule information and provide project teams with recommended corrective action to ensure the work meets required in-service.

• Prepare detailed schedule reports as required, i.e., critical path view, baseline vs. actual view, look ahead view, milestone view, “what-if” scenarios, etc.

• Enhance oversight, and increases project and program schedule data quality. Review and evolve baseline review processes, monitor stage gate review check points through project life cycle to closure.

• Develop, coordinate and maintain status and variance reporting and executive dashboards for the financial aspects and schedules for projects, including performance indices such as CPI, SPI, and other Key Performance Indices (KPIs)

• Interact and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders

• Construction Site visits required.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental, Construction OR, in lieu of a degree, at least 10 years of experience in Business, Engineering, Environmental, or Construction.

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience with Project Controls (Cost and Scheduling) or Construction.

• Experience with ERP system (SAP preferred) or Project Management software (Primavera P6 preferred)

• Demonstrated MS office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

• Must possess a valid U. S. driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Construction, Utility or engineering industry experience.

• PMP Certification obtained or in progress.

• Demonstrated working knowledge of P6
