Assist in providing business support of the Distribution SCADA (D-SCADA) system including: substation and field device integration, and integration with related systems. Utilize an understanding of PSE&G’s Electric Distribution network; to provide guidance on: system maintenance, and on the integrity of the system in conjunction with other Electric Operations Systems (OMS, GIS). Assist in troubleshooting and managing the movement of data through production systems. Interact with various other departments across electric delivery to ensure timely updates of the D-SCADA system in regards to changes in the Electric Distribution Network. Support the 24x7 operation of the D-SCADA/DMS system.

Must be able to interact with field crews such as Chief Relay Technicians, Inside Plant Engineers, and other Technicians in regards to D-SCADA troubleshooting of hardware, software, communications, and automation.

As an employee of PSE&G, you should be aware that during storm/outage restoration efforts, you may be required to perform functions different from normal operations and your regular work schedule. You may also be required to work in an alternate location.

Required

• BS in Engineering

. 6 or more years of professional engineering experience

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity

• Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices

• Must possess the ability to read schematics, network and electric one-line diagrams and be able to interpret applicable technical information

• On call 24/7 hours to assist during system emergency situations

• Demonstrated experience with Distribution systems, substation automation, SCADA systems, real time data aggregation systems, or similar industry exposure

Desired

• Communication network design and troubleshooting

• Strong working knowledge of DNP3

• Database Administrative experience (SQL, Oracle)

• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating systems

• Experience with Power Systems Analysis, Power System Design, and Electric Distribution Engineering
