Summary

SRP is currently recruiting for an Business Analyst to work on the Business System Applications (BSA) Team. BSA supports Transmission Generation Operations and other groups within Power Systems. The Senior Business Systems Analyst serves as the liaison between the business community and the technical development team(s) who support the systems the community uses. This person is responsible for ensuring that business needs, related to those systems, are clearly understood, documented and met. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will work closely with business system users, subject matter experts and technical resources to support business requirement efforts, document functional requirements and design specifications and support development and testing efforts.

What You'll Do

  • Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration.

  • ​​Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders.

  • Creates documentation ensuring that the requirements and design are complete, consistent, concise, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable.

  • Conducts internal and external research to gain a better understanding of the project’s subject area.

  • ​Conducts meetings and presentations to all levels of stakeholders to share ideas and findings and to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.

  • Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.​​

  • Researches, reviews, and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights

Experience

Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years experience at Level 1 and demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of 3 years experience at Level 2, is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
