Pike Corporation Technical Specialist 1 - Civil Site Developer in SC, United States

Position Overview : This is the first level of the Technical Specialist classification. Provide technical expertise in applying fundamental concepts, practices and procedures related to a technical field of specialization (i.e., biology, GIS, environmental science, communications, etc) with close supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop skills in their area of expertise, and the ability to work with greater independence.

Duties & Responsibilities

Under close supervision, in the area of expertise will provide

  • technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems

  • effective planning, organizing, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities

  • complete and accurate technical documents such as summary reports, correspondence, specifications, and procedures

  • continuous improvement of job-related, technical, and professional knowledge, skills and performance

  • effective oral and written communication skills

  • maintain accurate records and files

  • support of the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.

    Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in area of expertise or 2 years of relevant technical experience

  • Understanding of fundamental concepts in area of expertise

  • Proven Computer skills appropriate for area of expertise

  • Time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritize work activities to meet goals and deadlines

  • Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

  • Sound research and communication skills.

    Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in area of expertise
