Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Engineering or Design Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams in the execution of seawater or industrial water treatment projects, with a focus on EPC and mining-related developments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in detail engineering, project scheduling, construction support, and commissioning, along with a proven track record in managing the design scope for large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and manage engineering teams through project phases—from feasibility design to detailed engineering, construction support, and commissioning.

· Coordinate with Project Managers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical scope, schedule, budget and resources.

· Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality standards and are aligned with estimate requirements for EPC readiness.

· Supervise the preparation of calculation reports for mechanical, process, civil, electrical, structural, Instrumentation & Control, and architectural components, ensuring clarity and meeting the design expectations.

· Provide leadership in the development of BIM models (Autodesk Platform) and digital engineering tools for design visualization and coordination in Common Data Environments.

· Drive project scheduling and planning activities, ensuring alignment with permitting, procurement, and construction milestones.

Minimum Qualifications

· Fluency in English and Spanish.

· Engineering or master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.

· More than 15 years of relevant engineering and design experience, with at least 10 years in a similar leadership role managing large-scale projects and multidisciplinary teams.

· Demonstrated experience in desalination plant design, industrial water treatment systems, and mining water infrastructure.

· Strong background in project scheduling, detail engineering, construction support, and commissioning.

· Proven experience in EPC project delivery models.

· Familiarity with international engineering codes and standards.

· Proficiency in engineering software, digital platforms and design tools.

Certifications

Most positions – depending on the nature of work performed as defined by the division – will typically require incumbents to have professional registration or licensure in their designated home office country, or be in active pursuit* of such registration. Additional professional registration or licensure may be needed when practicing or on assignment in a different country. Exceptions may be approved by division management on a case by case basis.
