Department Overview

The Coworkers of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response.

Position Summary

The Expert Business Analyst will be part of the North Coast Region Construction Resource Management Team in Electric Distribution Operations. In this role, you will conduct research , data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting in support of business decision-making, strategy, and operations. Participates in business process improvement, quality control, and other initiatives. Develops, manages, and coordinates performance and quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication, and training.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and San Rafael based on business needs.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

A reasonable salary range is:​

Bay Area Minimum: $​114,000

Bay Area Maximum: $​182,000

&/OR​

California Minimum: $​108,000

California Maximum: $​173,000

Job Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and management of the Lean Operating Systemin the North Coast Region.

• Applies advanced knowledge to wide-ranging issues, including budget, planning, and execution performance.

• Develop business cases in support of strategy or change initiatives.

• Develops innovative data solutions to address complex business issues. Presents findings and proposed recommendations to leaders.

• Performs analysis on complex data models that have cross-functional impact.

• Works with and leverages relationships with Directors and Managers across functions / PG&E.

• Participate and collect, track, and monitor action items from departmental Operating Reviews and key operational meetings.

• Participate in Operations Emergency Center (OEC) or Regional Emergency Center (REC) that support company Emergency Operations.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.

• Job-related experience, 6 years

Desired:

• Graduate Degree or equivalent experience

• Overall understanding of utility operations and work execution processes

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Creative and strategic problem-solving skills to develop new, innovative solutions

• Experience with SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI

• Knowledge of the Lean Operating System and the 5 plays
