The Electrical Maintenance Department is responsible for all electrical components within DCPP systems up to 500kV. These duties include testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting and repair of plant systems and components.
This is a management position which supervises electricians and/or electrical control technicians during the performance of routine electrical maintenance and minor construction activities in a nuclear power plant for daily activities and refueling outage work. Refueling outage work will include supervision of temporary additional staff.
To obtain and maintain employment and unescorted access at DCPP, you must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen, a security background check, psychological screen, computer-based training, and be subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
Requires traveling up to 10% of time
Supervise electricians, sub-foreman and electrical control technicians during the performance of routine electrical maintenance and minor construction activities in a nuclear power plant for daily activities and refueling outage work. Refueling outage work will include supervision of temporary additional staff.
Ensure electrical maintenance is prepared for successful execution of refueling outages. Some of these responsibilities include:
Define outage work scope
Schedules are development for all crews for the electrical department
Identify and hire required resources
Identify pre-outage task, work durations and support request
Perform administrative functions such as a review of work orders, work schedules, procedure revisions, attend meetings to assure timely and accurate completion.
Manage the Corrective Action Program (CAP) backlog, Rework and M&TE out of tolerance evaluations.
Coordinate with other departments, such as Operations, Engineering, Radiation Protection.
Learning Services, and Security to assure successful implementation of both daily and outage work activities.
Effectively implement and control daily work scope per site Work Management standards.
Observe, mentor and coach all plant staff regarding safety practices and expectations to assure a safe and error free work environment.
Actively promote safety awareness and use of Human Performance Error Prevention tools. Be an electrical safety champion at the site.
Position will require to be the Maintenance Supervisor On-call and ERO duties
Fill-in supervisor for other crew in electrical maintenance department
High school diploma
Four years of industrial electrical, mechanical or I&C experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field
One year of related supervisory experience
Experience with high power and high voltage equipment from 480V to 500kV
DCPP Maintenance Supervisor Qualified (MS – Maintenance Supervisor and CLECHQ – Clearance Holder qualifications)
Basic Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
Experience using SAP and ESOMS
Related utility or military electrical experience
