Department Overview

The Banking and Money Management group within Treasury executes financing transactions in support of PG&E's capital and liquidity requirements; assists the Vice President, Treasurer in managing the company's relationships with the financial community (banks, credit rating agencies, etc.); and maintains sufficient liquidity through effective cash management practices.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Banking and Money Management, the Treasury Analyst will support treasury operations and cash management services for PG&E Corporation and all affiliates. B&MM is seeking a highly motivated team player to join its dynamic cash management team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Primary back up for managing daily cash activities, including borrowing and investing, to maintain operating liquidity and comply with company policies

  • Responsible for short-term cash forecast (daily/monthly) and data/variance analysis

  • Responsible for letter of credit issuances and amendments

  • Reviews banking service agreements and contracts; negotiates bank fees

  • Coordinate with and support subsidiaries on bank related issues

  • Coordinate with and assist other corporate departments with reporting, project implementation, and banking functions

  • Streamline processes and procedures including the implementation and administration of Treasury related products

  • Work with Manager to define cash management policies and procedures; assist with staff training

  • System administrator for bank systems and treasury workstation

  • Responsible for cash management disaster recovery/business continuity planning and training; alternative headquarter team lead

  • Responsible for Treasury Workstation Operations and Service Level Agreements; resolves service issues

  • Primary back up for treasury operations tasks including Electronic Funds Transfers, positive pay, and responding to miscellaneous client requests

  • Special projects as assigned by Manager

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or related discipline or equivalent work experience

  • 4 years of accounting, financial, cash management or treasury or business related experience

  • AFP Certified Treasury Professional credential

  • Familiar with one or more of the following third party bank systems: TreasuryEdge, Liquidity Direct, CashPro, CitiOnline, CitiDirect, FXALL, RBC Express

  • Technical experience: SunGard treasury workstation; BRMEdge AA software; Crystal reports, SAP, MS Visio

  • Advance MS Excel skills/spreadsheets
