Department Overview

In Customer Care we are focused on delivering the desired customer experience for each of our customers. Everything we do starts with the customer and our information about the customer. That information is collected and managed by our Customer Experience Strategy group. Each of our organizations, though completely dependent upon each other, are the experts in their area and will further drive PG&Es alignment around the customer.

The Pricing Products organization within PG&E's Customer Energy Solutions (CES) organization focuses on driving positive customer experiences through an array of billing, rate, and payment options that help customers better relate to and manage their energy usage.

Position Summary

The Senior Product Manager for Greenhouse Gas – Electric Industrial is responsible for managing the customer-facing implementation of PG&E’s AB 32 Cap and Trade program responsibilities as it relates to a certain class of our electric industrial customers. PG&E incurs costs to comply with the state’s program to limit greenhouse gas emissions under the Cap and Trade program. PG&E is also allocated allowance proceeds which must be returned to customers to help mitigate the impacts of increased costs in rates. The GHG Electric Industrial Senior Product Manager will ensure that those customers designated as “Emissions Intensive and Trade Exposed” receive the appropriate regulatory-approved credits on the electric portion of their bills. This position will work closely with internal data analysis groups and IT to collect and validate information from these customers. The position will ensure that this data is handled in accordance with all regulatory, data privacy and protection standards, and will work with the CPUC and with IT billing system

colleagues to ensure the correct implementation of the credits. Additionally, the position will work closely with Marketing to ensure that communications are accurate, timely, and in accordance with regulatory requirements. This position may support other GHG credit programs as necessary, and is also responsible for contributing to relevant regulatory filings and data requests having to do with Emissions Intensive Trade Exposed customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the customer-facing implementation of PG&E’s AB 32 Cap and Trade program

responsibilities as related to electric industrial customers.

• Ensure that “Emissions Intensive Trade Exposed” customers receive the appropriate

regulatory-approved GHG-related credits on their bills. Work closely with IT, data analysis,

regulatory, marketing and other teams to accomplish this.

• Manage the GHG Electric balancing account budget.

• Provide content for and review of regulatory filings, advice letters, applications, data requests,

etc.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Public

Policy, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience required

• 6+ years of experience in product management or program management

Desired

• Experience working with complex and/or highly sensitive data

• Experience working with IT requirements

• Experience in complex regulatory environments

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate clearly,

concisely and effectively.

• Ability to lead implementation of various workstreams across the enterprise.

• Basic knowledge of and/or experience in the customer services functional lines.

• Understanding of AB 32 and ARB regulation as it relates to cap and trade revenue return
