PG&E’s Information Technology (IT) organization is comprised of various unified departments which collaborate effectively in order to deliver high quality technology solutions.

The Enterprise Mobility Center of Excellence (Digital Catalyst) is a new enterprise team that is responsible for working collaboratively with the lines of business (e.g., Gas Operations, Electric Operations, etc.) to implement consumer grade mobile solutions across various user groups (e.g., field users, office workers, etc.). This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Deploying best-in-class / rapid delivery capability for mobile solutions

  • Simplifying, improving, and standardizing business work management processes for mobile needs

Digital Catalyst team consists of a staff of highly skilled professionals working together to produce mobile solutions following an agile methodology. We are a “start-up” department within IT and building a team of driven and creative mobile developers. We take the time to understand our partners’ needs and translate those into solutions that delight our users. Our goal is to deliver products with intuitive user experience that will improve PG&E employees’ safety, productivity and overall well-being.

We are seeking an experienced Agile Leader / Coach in the Digital Catalyst team who will concurrently enable one or more custom mobility products across mobile app development. You will support the Team and the Product Manager and help them communicate, solve problems and deliver a great product. It’s your role to teach the team all ways of agile software practices, lead and facilitate team ceremonies, remove impediments and shield them from external distractions. You will bring the Product Owner and the team together and helps them understand each other. You would be a personal coach for team members and an innovator who constantly seek ways to improve yourself and the team.



  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in related field or equivalent work experience

  • 9+ years of related work experience

  • Ability to influence and lead behavior change

  • Competency in building and nurturing self-organized teams

  • Strong communication skills with ability to deliver complex messages and teach new concepts

  • Experience in aligning multiple teams towards common outcomes, through collaboration and shared understanding

  • Competent in applying business skills to advance the organization goals and opportunities

  • Competent in building relationships and fostering networks to positively influence culture

  • Technical acumen. Past developer experience would be ideal. Understanding of agile technical practices (CI, CD, XP, TDD etc.)


  • Minimum of 5 years Core Agile experience and 2 years enterprise experience

  • Minimum of 4 years Agile coaching experience

  • Mobile product development or analytics platform development experience

  • Thorough understanding of Agile theory and have applied it to situations at hand with demonstrable results of learning and adaptation

  • Brings authenticity and cares about people beyond process

  • You are confident and know when to step in and lead as needed, and also comfortable with stepping back and letting the team decide the best course of action

  • Strong mediator, able to resolve conflicts within the team before they become an issue
