Summary

Spire is seeking a Talent Development Analyst to join our team, either our Birmingham, Alabama or St. Louis, Missouri location. This role is responsible for supporting the Talent Development team by administering the learning management system, analyzing data, and tracking trends to advance Spire employees and leaders. The analyst will support team-wide talent development priorities and initiatives by leveraging system capabilities, suggesting improvements, and creating supplemental training materials such as user guides and handouts. This role provides support to the greater Talent Development team by occasionally facilitating our new hire onboarding program as well as manager and employee workshops, assisting with our educational assistance program management, talent assessment distribution and analysis (DiSC, EQ, MBTI, StrengthsFinder, etc.), and other Talent Development projects as needed to maximize the potential of our employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Talent Development team in our learning and development initiatives and various organizational development to advance Spire employees.

• Assist with improving integration points for programs that evaluate, enhance, and improve employee performance.

• Deliver high-quality, effective learning analyses through a holistic look at LMS analytics, managing assessments, (DiSC, MBTI, EQ, StrengthsFinder, etc.), aid in managing vendors and budget coordination.

• Support development plan tracking to ensure Spire’s leadership pipeline is robust and helps employees meet their professional goals.

• Partner with the Talent Development team to recommend and/or develop targeted educational opportunities, topics and content that arise through talent processes and survey results.

• Assist with facilitation of various employee and manager facing programs, such as new hire onboarding, Leading Spire Series, lunch-and -learns, Step Forward, etc.

• Manage My Learning (Spire’s in-house learning management system), as part of team responsibilities.

• Be a champion of Spire’s Talent Development opportunities/programs and design ways to optimize its reach.

• Other responsibilities and duties, as needed to support the workload of our team.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in industrial/organizational psychology, human resources, organizational development, communications, or related field(s).

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

• 1+ year of relevant experience in human resources, talent systems, learning and development, communications, and/or organizational development.

• Experience coordinating and measuring the effectiveness of training sessions, development workshops, learning programs, performance management, succession planning or an overall program.

• Experience or interest in giving presentations to small audiences (5+ people).

• Ability to generate insights and recommendations from data sets to enhance employee experiences, improve efficiencies, meet company goals and improve employee performance.

• Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.

• Technology savvy with self-motivation to learn how to continuously optimize system usage.

• Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, organize and project manage.

Physical demands, environment and schedule

  • Hybrid Work Arrangement: 3 days onsite at a Spire location + 2 days' working remotely

  • Physical Demands – Position is an office-based position that requires occasionally lifting less than ten pounds.

  • Work Environment – Work is normally performed in a shared office environment.

  • Hours – Work schedule is defined by Spire policy while supporting core Spire HR operational and project needs generally 8am – 5pm.

  • Travel Requirements – Position requires occasional travel up to 10%,
