We are looking to fill a Laborer position in St. Joseph, MO. Laborers play a crucial role in our team. You'll have the opportunity to work outdoors, collaborating with a team to safely complete underground utility construction projects. This role allows you to enjoy the fresh air, provides a chance to learn new skills, and builds valuable industry experience. This role can be physically demanding and requires work in various weather conditions.

Essential duties:

As a laborer, you are vital to project success by ensuring safety, efficiency, and progress on the job site. Duties include:

  • Load or assist with loading materials or equipment,

  • Utilize hand tools to dig near existing underground utilities,

  • Prepare pre-trip equipment prior to mobilizing to job site,

  • Assist in securing the work site, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift,

  • Prepare documents, reports, or job aids related to work, equipment, and safety,

  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • Keen attention to safety

  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic

  • Detail orientated

  • Coachable, willing to follow instructions

  • Tolerates a wide range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather

  • The physical activity required for this role includes:

  • Standing or walking for long periods of time

  • Repeatedly lifting heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.),

  • Other repetitive movements, such as kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching

  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
