The Well-Being Champion will lead well-being initiatives, identify and address needs of participants, and provide continuous opportunities to engage in well-being efforts throughout the organization and beyond (retirees and spouses).

Specifically, the Well-Being Champion will:

  • Support the overall well-being strategy to identify needs and interests of participants

  • Assist in the development and delivery of creative, customized well-being programs/initiatives

  • Support marketing and communication efforts for well-being program/initiatives

  • Partner with Employee Resource Groups and other groups on well-being initiatives across the Company

  • Serve as a primary well-being point of contact for CMS employees and cultivate positive relationships through high touch approach

  • Actively participate in webinars, lunch & learns, all-hands meetings to promote well-being within the organization

    We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Passion for helping others on their well-being journey

  • Ability to work cross-functionally within the organization

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Clear and articulate communication skills

  • Effective and engaging presentation skills


  • A BA/BS in Health Promotion, Health and Wellness Management, Health Education or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements for well-being programs

  • Experience of well-being plan designs for a variety of workforce groups

    This role will primarily work remote initially, but travel throughout the state of Michigan will be required when more frequent in-person work and events resume.

    Hours and Travel

    Maintain regular, predictable and punctual attendance during regularly scheduled work hours at assigned worksite. Work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings and overtime. Meet travel requirements of the position.
