A day in the life-Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Coordinate and manage the submittal of advice letters to the California Public Utilities Commission’s Energy Division.

  • Ensure all protest replies and comments to draft resolutions are filed in a timely manner and in accordance with General Order 96-B and the Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedures.

  • Provide quality assurance and compile documents for each advice letter – public and confidential.

  • Update database with pertinent files and service lists and ensure all advice letters are posted accurately to various websites.

  • Monitor dedicated email inbox and respond coordinate to customers and CPUC inquires.


The Essentials

  • Five to seven years of experience with regulatory programs and proceedings

  • Experience with state and federal regulatory processes

  • Experience in dealing with the California Public Utilities Commission, California Energy Commission, or other State regulatory agencies

  • Experience using good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Intermediate knowledge with Microsoft Word and SharePoint

The preferred

  • Bachelors Degree in business, technical or related field

  • General awareness of General Order 96-B which governs advice letters

  • Experience communicating regulatory requirements to internal stakeholders in various levels

You should know

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
