About Corporate Security’s Project Management Office

Corporate Security’s Project Management Office (CSPMO) is responsible for execution of all physical security related projects and field installations within SCE’s service territory. We have a large number of active projects at any given time in various stages of execution. We also ensure implementation of NERC related compliance projects.

Position Overview

This position will be the key resource for CSPMO to manage its portfolio of projects and provide support for project managers for resource coordination, project budget management, training, vendor management, reporting and various ancillary duties required to initiate, execute, and close out projects. You will be responsible to research and analyze information and make recommendations in support of major programs and projects and to present findings to senior management as well as performs cost-benefit and trend analysis for the larger portfolio.

Additionally, you will act as a consultant and makes key recommendations regarding establishing and changing project direction to management on specific projects or strategic efforts, as well as collaborate with departments and client organizations on CSPMO projects, programs, and strategic efforts with moderate to broad impact. You will, develop and conduct training for key programs and track all compliance requirements for our employees and supplier resources. You will serve as the lead for components of larger projects to ensure coordination, and provide direction for cross-functional project teams to achieve deliverables, address issues and solve problems.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Gathers documents, analyzes and draws conclusions on complex data and information after considering alternatives through independent research and analysis.

  • Assists project managers and management for coordination of project efforts, SAP purchase requisitions and purchase orders, resources, financials and reporting for projects within portfolio.

  • Builds and maintains records, logs, documents, files, or databases for use in monitoring, tracking, and trending program/project costs, resources, schedules, and status for management. Reviews and updates reports, documents or correspondence.

  • Guides cross-functional project teams and their activities to address issues, and solve problems involving physical security systems and electronic security systems requirements and budgets

  • Develops, conducts, and tracks training for key programs and coordinates, and keeps record of all compliance and safety training requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in a project management support position

  • Four years of experience in an analytical position

  • Experience working with SAP procurement processes such as purchase orders and requisitions

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Share Point

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree

  • PMP certification

  • Six Sigma or lean Six Sigma

  • Position will require up to 20% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
