Position Overview

The Senior Information and Integration Architect will work with the Senior Information and Integration Manager to develop and socialize information management and integration strategy, roadmap, enterprise information/data architectures and models. The role is a technical leadership position that requires strong information and integration architecture design skills as well as excellent communication skills.

Accountability for the role includes developing and communicating information and integration roadmaps that support and fulfill the business strategy, and ensuring individual projects align with the larger roadmap goals.

T ypical Responsibilities:

  • Designing and validating information solutions that are practical, flexible, scalable, reusable and strategic.

  • Developing and communicating architectural roadmaps that support and fulfill business strategy, ensuring individual projects align with the larger roadmap goals through project governance.

  • Developing strategic and solution architectures and design for information, data warehousing, master data management, and integration solutions.

  • Developing and maintaining the conceptual and logical data/information models, master data management, facilitating metadata management, enterprise taxonomies & namespaces, services/API management.

  • Perform integration requirements analysis, decide integration technology usage and develop integration architecture and design using standard integration patterns.

  • Participate in integration governance activities; Review and approve detailed integration design artifacts for assigned projects.

  • Rapid solution prototyping and evaluating technology components in integration and information domains.

  • Recommendations for information and integration technology components.

  • Working with advanced analytics groups to facilitate acquisition, extraction, transformation, management, and manipulation of large and complex data sets

  • Identifying and scoping API’s for enabling data as services.

  • Client consultations for information management solutions and promoting enterprise solutions, appropriate use of data/information assets.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Seven (7) years providing architectural direction in information and integration domain to project teams.

  • Experience in overall information/data management & governance, data modeling, metadata management, master data management, data quality management, and data integration.

  • Experienced with systems utilizing high volume and complex data processing, database platform selection and optimization, metadata management suites and OLAP or similar technologies.

  • Solid understanding and experience with formal project life cycle methodologies.

  • Knowledgeable regarding data stewardship, data quality, ETL and business intelligence tools, and techniques used with big data.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Information Management, Information Science & Technology or Data Science preferred.

  • 5+ years of Data Warehousing experience, preferably with an Electric Utility background

  • 5+ years in designing integration solutions using at least one of the technologies listed – SAP PI/PO, SAP Business Objects Data Services, Talend, Datapower.

  • Experience with big data, modeling for structured and unstructured data.

  • Experience with Services Oriented Architectures, Microservices, API management.

  • Experience with SAP Hana and Hadoop ecosystem (eg. HBase, Spark, Impala, Pig, Hive, etc.).


  • Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.

  • The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA; however, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at Irwindale and/or Pomona.

  • Relocation does not apply to this position.
