Position Overview:

This position will be in the Strategy & Workforce Insights group, reporting to the Senior Manager of Portfolio and Project Management in the Human Resources (HR) department. This position will act as the lead analyst for HR’s exhibits in SCE’s regulatory filings including the General Rate Case (GRC) submitted to the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) and the annual Formula Update submitted to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Key stakeholders include HR executives and managers, Regulatory, Law, and HR subject matter experts. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR GRC project manager to ensure filings are timely, accurate, and complete. He/she will also be responsible for HR Portfolio maintenance and reporting, including trending analysis, HR compliance activities, and analytical/project support for enterprise-wide projects.

Typical Responsibilities include:

  • Support the coordination and preparation of HR’s GRC exhibits to obtain rate recovery for approximately $600 million in company and department expenses; aggregate multiple inputs where necessary, and ensure all testimony is added to the system of record according to GRC standards and timelines.

  • Manage and coordinate HR’s response to the GRC Master Data Request. Support the data-gathering and on-time completion of intervenor data requests, working closely with the GRC Project Manager to ensure responses are complete, on time, and meet all applicable standards.

  • Support the preparation of HR’s GRCwitnesses by performing research, providing supporting documentation, and preparing witness binders.

  • Perform data quality control, trending analysis, and recommend/execute process improvements for HR’s Project Portfolio and HR compliance activities.

  • Provide analytical support to the project managers for enterprise-wide projects including research, analysis, conducting reconciliations, developing reports, preparing presentations, and preparing communications.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Five years of experience in an analytical position, gathering data from multiple stakeholder groups, performing data analysis and trending, aggregating results into reports, and developing presentations for various audiences.

  • Three years of experience managing data in multiple systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, SAP, etc.

Desired Qualifications :

  • BA/BS in Business, HR, or related field.

  • Demonstrated experience providing analytical and project support for high-visibility, complex projects (e.g. performing task, budget, and milestone tracking; evaluating and consulting on project requests, risk analysis).

  • Experience working with Regulatory ratemaking and the General Rate Case process, requirements & systems.

  • Experience with HR policies, procedures and programs.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills including the ability to deal with all levels of senior leadership while maintaining composure under the pressure of tight deadlines in an ever changing environment.

  • Ability to analyze large quantity of data and organize information in concise and clear manner.

  • Ability to provide top quality work products with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Demonstrated experience motivating and inspiring team-mates to meet/exceed challenging milestones & deadlines; strong team orientation.
