The Senior Advisor position, will develop, lead, manage, and implement integrated and cross functional projects at a large electric utility. Specifically this position is responsible for executing the Business Impact Assessment (BIA) and manage associated mitigations. It works within the company’s Hazard Assessment and Mitigation Program within the Business Resiliency Department. The BIA includes such elements as working with internal experts to identify critical business processes, dependencies, conduct impact assessments and determine and prioritize appropriate mitigations and monitor execution of those activities. The position will be required to lead projects that bring together all critical company functions including electric operations, generation, IT, finance, facilities, communications, external relations, and security.
This position is responsible for managing the development and implementation of projects by directing the design, analysis, strategies and execution of tasks needed to meet program and project requirements.
Provides management and strategic direction to a project team(s) and is responsible for the project development, budget, and schedule.
Establishes goals, negotiates, and develops project plans. At higher levels, is responsible for being the primary technical leader for a broad area of knowledge.
Responsible for managing multiple high profile, complex projects and teams, simultaneously.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Business Continuity, Emergency Management or related discipline.
Ten years of experience as program and project management manager (leading teams) in a field related to hazard, business impact or risk assessments, and planning and/or program management.
Five years of experience presenting to senior and executive level managers
Five years of experience in analyzing complex hazards/risks and developing executable plans to mitigate them
Ten years of experience as program and project management manager (leading teams) in a field related to hazard, business impact or risk assessments, and planning and/or program management. Specific experience in the private sector desired.
Ten years of experience interacting with senior and executive level managers
Ten years of experience in analyzing complex hazards/risks and developing executable plans to mitigate them
Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
The primary work location for this position is Rosemead with an alternate of Irwindale/with occasional travel within the SCE service territory.

This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties
