Performance Management Senior Analyst position will use data and analytics to design new methods, approaches and procedures to set and evaluate performance metrics at the corporate level. This position will also work with OU performance management groups to identify set of underlying operational metrics that impact corporate goals.
Other responsibilities include gathering and consolidating data, performing robust statistical analysis to explain key metrics drivers, setting and evaluating targets, forecasting and evaluating performance data, conducting root cause analyses, quantifying impact of actions and projects on metrics and providing technical capability training to other groups
Consult with subject matter experts across OUs to develop an understanding of operations, key drivers of performance and existing performance measurement data
Work with performance management groups to design set of metrics for corporate level tracking; collect, evaluate, validate, clean and consolidate data; automate metrics tracking where possible
Collaborate with OU performance management teams to run data analytics and statistical regressions to identify drivers of performance and design metric driver trees
Propose companywide goal and interconnected operating metrics based on Board goals and historical data; perform feasibility studies to evaluate targets
Build automated dashboard to track performance at a corporate goals level; assist OU performance management groups in building performance review dashboards
Perform root cause analyses and quantify metric impact of larger-scope cross-OU activities and projects for prioritization, leveraging statistical expertise and operational knowledge
Train OU performance management groups in necessary functional and technical skillsets (e.g. SAS Enterprise Guide & Visual Analytics, performance forecasting, feasibility studies, etc.)
Bachelors in quantitative field, (e.g, mathematics, economics, business or equivalent)
Five yearsof experience in quantitative analysis and/or project management
Experience with data preparation, advanced statistical regression and modeling and data mining using large datasets
Graduate degree in technical discipline (quantitative field, i.e., statistics, mathematics, economics, etc.)
Two or more years of experience creating and editing complex reports, graphs and presentations
Professional experience with the use of analytics and visualization toolsets – specifically SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS visual Analytics
Strong logical thinking and quick learning abilities
Experience in working with cross functional teams
Ability to gather necessary, relevant information through consultations with subject matter experts
Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA with occasional visits to local SCE offices.
