Southern California Edison Litigation Staff Counsel [HYBRID] in Rosemead, California
Become a Litigation Staff Counsel at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. As Staff Counsel, you will work on a wide range of litigation matters for the company. The successful candidate will be part of a team of attorneys assigned to a particular section of the Law Department. The Staff Counsel must be able to work independently, be attentive to detail, conduct research accurately, and write clearly. We also are seeking a candidate who has the ability to simultaneously manage a variety of assignments, prioritize activities, and work quickly and effectively.

Assisting Attorneys with advice to internal client organizations regarding compliance with applicable regulations, laws, and policies.
Assisting Attorneys with representation of the Company in state and federal court.
Conducting research and preparing research memoranda, drafting discovery, pleadings, and motions, reviewing documents, and other second-chair responsibilities.
Contributing to cross-functional or departmental projects and teams. - Interfacing with SCE personnel to gather information pertaining to legal, technical, or other issues.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Member of the California Bar
Strong academic credentials.
Some legal work experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Law School Transcript and writing sample will be required.

When a return-to-work date has been determined this position’s work mode will be hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
