Become an Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job you will be part of the People Strategy, HR Ops and Governance team, reporting to the Senior Manager of HR Information Systems. You will play a key role in supporting HR technology applications and third-party interfaces and ensuring effective alignment of processes and technology with the broader HR Digital Transformation Strategies. You will provide consultative, as well as direct, support to HR leaders and subject matter experts on technology best practices, road maps, opportunities for automation and process improvement as well as technical compliance with existing plans and policies. In addition, you will act as the technical subject matter expert for HR Centers of Excellence, supporting configuration, testing, system analysis, planning, design, development, documentation, reporting, enhancements, break-fixes, and project management.

A day in the life-Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright

  • Consult on best practices, the HR technological roadmap, opportunities for automation and process improvements including interfaces and third-party integrations.

  • Act as a lead technical subject matter expert overseeing the design, implementation, and system support related to all HR systems applications & interfaces.

  • Work with HR leaders and internal/external stakeholders in identifying business requirements related to technology needs, defines scope, performs cost benefit analysis, builds business cases, and develops conceptual specifications to address complex business issues and problems.

  • Develop project plans to implement technology solutions, in adherence to project schedules, budget, supply chain management requirements, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.

  • Primary point of contact for system-related resolution and managing technology related recurring operational activities.

  • Maintain and support technology-related activities which includes the review and monitoring of internal and external interfaces, identifies, and resolves issues and gaps, workflows, governance, documentation, regression testing, training, and knowledge transfer. Tracks and reports out on quality management issues and their resolution.

  • Develop dashboards and reports and conducts data analyses and presentations to support business needs.

Qualifications

The Essentials

  • Seven or more years of work experience in designing, implementing, and managing HR Information systems.

  • Experience in areas of Benefits and Compensation, HR Operations, and/or Analytics.

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in IT, HR, HRIS or related discipline.

  • Desired experience in SuccessFactors modules such as Employee Central, Compensation, Recruiting, Onboarding, Learning, Talent, Reporting and Analytics tools

  • Familiarity with SAP, Digital Process Automation Systems, HR Case Management, and other related systems

  • Experience defining and documenting system requirements, project scope & user acceptance testing.

  • Experience Agile project management methodology and leading projects

  • Demonstrate ability to analyze and review complex processes and recommend and implement process improvements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise content

  • Interpersonal communication skills including the ability to deal with all levels of senior leadership.

  • Effective, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.

  • Work Mode : Effective January 2022, this position’s work mode is Hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
