About the Job…

The successful candidate will serve as a Financial Analyst in the Reporting & Analysis Team and will play a key role in transforming and significantly improving SCE’s financial and operational reporting capabilities. You will work closely with team members and leaders across the enterprise to support planning, budgeting and reporting initiatives, such as collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing financial data for annual operations planning, monthly outlook updates, as well as regulatory proceedings and compliance. Additionally, he/she will contribute to developing and improving business-related processes, advising clients on technical strategies to address issues, and advancing existing reporting processes.

Your responsibilities and typical duties will include…

  • Collecting, documenting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions on data in order to perform financial reporting and support management decision making

  • Continuously learning and applying knowledge of SCE’s businesses and associated financial models and cost flows

  • Working with staff both inside and outside the organization to perform historical and forecast financial analytics, as well as presenting findings

  • Managing small and providing support for large projects to improve financial reporting and analytic capabilities by gathering requirements, developing recommendations, and planning and implementing solutions, including supporting users through training and feedback

  • Maintaining a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics or business-related discipline

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in the field of financial analysis and modeling

Desired Qualifications:

  • Three (3) or more years of experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis.

  • Experience generating reports utilizing SAP.

  • Experience communicating financial information to various audiences, including senior management.

  • Experience with utility financial planning and accounting methodologies

  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI, Analysis for Excel, PowerPoint, others)

  • Project Management Certification


  • Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employee for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.

  • The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA
