A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
Act as a Cybersecurity Cloud Domain Architect to ensure secure solution designs across multiple Cloud Computing Environments, API’s, and SaaS to ensure security integration and design strategies
Review solution design(s) to align Cybersecurity best practices, assess risk and reduce the threat landscape within Cloud environments
Solves complex problems in an organization to secure by designing or modifying technology architecture and testing the integration of software in these designs for correct functionality
Provide consultation and present to Cybersecurity leadership and business partners as it relates to cloud, API, container and SaaS based security within emerging standards within multiple cloud compute environments and how to reduce and manage risk
Develop Cloud Security solution design and engineering strategies for integrating Cybersecurity technology into various hosted solutions and other business centric solutions for IT & Grid Modernization efforts.
Assess organization future and emerging technologies to establish the lowest risk solution integration and awareness to various organizational units throughout SCE
Support establishing programmatic approach to implementing secure hygiene practices in hosted or hybrid business solutions
Mentor junior and Engineering resources
Ten (10) or more years of Cybersecurity experience
Three (3) or more years of Cybersecurity Cloud Security experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology, Engineering or related specialized field.
Hybrid Cloud Cybersecurity technology integration strategies and tactical procedure development
Ability and experience solving complex security problems, establish a defensible architecture and work well with a large portfolio of business partners
API Security experience, solution integration and cross-functional industry participation
Possess one or more of the following Information Security certifications: GPCS, GWEB, GCSA, GCPN, CISSP, CRISC, GREM, GNFA, CCNA, CISM and/or GSEC
You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

Relocation may apply to this position.
The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA however, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
Position may require up to 30% traveling between alternate SCE work location sites.
This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
US Citizenship required as part of Critical Infrastructure security protocols.
This position requires testing, and applicants who are selected to continue through the process will be invited to test via email.
