Become an Energy Marketing & Analysis, Senior Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will be involved in forecasting payments for more than 300 renewable projects amounting to more than $2 billion in payments annually. In addition, your role will be preparing forecasts of fuel and purchased power expenses, the Energy Resource Recovery Account (ERRA), supporting Resource Adequacy, and participating in systems continuous improvement activities for these processes.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
Designs and develops reports and presentations to accurately present status, risks and opportunities to executive management and regulatory entities in compliance with approved procurement plans
Partners and collaborates with other Power Supply functions (e.g. Contracts, Regulatory, Origination and Contract Management) to determine SCE’s contracted renewable and cogeneration energy and costs.
Utilization of models and planning tools to complete Fundamental Modeling related work
Partner with Systems group to create Power BI visualization tools for work products
Procurement / Management Support of RPS, resource adequacy and other solicitations by maintaining and managing the portfolio forecasts.
Qualifications
The essentials
- Three to five years of experience in the field of analysis
The preferred
Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, or Technical Discipline
Knowledge of the California electric utility industry
Strong interpersonal, influence, communication and result-oriented skills
Knowledge and experience with regulatory policies, methods, and planning/engineering principles necessary to perform complex or unique assignments
You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
