In this job, you will be involved in supporting renewable solicitations, regulatory and strategic planning for IRP and ERRA, and IT / system planning support for resource adequacy, renewables, ERRA and Portfolio Reporting. You will be driving change by coordinating and leading regulatory efforts for Portfolio Reporting, working with internal stakeholders, the IOUs, CCAs and Commission staff.

Working with SCE personnel in other departments and external third parties to gather information pertaining to highly complex regulatory, technical, and/or sensitive issues.
Monitor regulatory agencies for emerging issues or requirements pertaining to ERRA, IRP and RPS
Lead strategic collaboration on planning activities that have significant financial impact with external and internal partners throughout the ERRA, IRP and RPS Compliance processes as a trusted point of contact between SCE, regulators and IOUs.
Identify issues and develop and implement strategic solutions, ensuring proper integration of strategic and operational activities for regulatory filings, developing recommendations for senior management decision making.
Apply strong critical thinking, problem solving, technical knowledge, and leadership to challenge business assumptions and drive decisions and analysis to support business cases.
Manage high impact strategic projects, organizing cross-functional teams, developing project scope, analyzing key issues, performing financial analysis, and identifying potential solutions and recommendations.
Qualifications
The essentials
Ten years of financial, operational, regulatory environment or related technical analysis experience.
Cross-functional project management experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
The preferred
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, or Technical Discipline
Knowledge of the California electric utility industry
Strong interpersonal, influence, communication and result-oriented skills
Knowledge and experience with regulatory policies, methods, and planning/engineering principles necessary to perform complex or unique assignments
You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
