Become a Disability Management Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job you will be responsible for developing and updating job analysis reports for all job titles in the company. You must stay informed of regulatory changes and send regulatory compliance notifications related to SCE’s CA Voluntary Plan. You will complete compliance-required forms from the EDD. You will update Your Benefits Handbook and the Portal page to align with regulatory changes to disability benefits, job-protected leaves, and job accommodations. You will be involved in reviewing all communication templates (letters, emails, forms) used by the Claims Administrator, a third-party vendor. You will also be back up for the Disability Management Advisors that handle escalated issues, give guidance to work locations and others, and administer other disability related programs. In addition, you will work with internal and external auditors when needed

Responsible for developing and updating job analysis reports for all job titles in the Company
Develop all disability, job-protected leave, and reasonable accommodations related communications, including updates to Your Benefits Handbook, addressing the third-party vendor’s communications, Company online communications, updating the materials for the Disability Management Portal Page.
Complete the EDD Annual Security Review and provides to the EDD with surety bond by deadline.
Create and oversee the distribution of the Company-wide ERISA and EDD required notifications to plan participants.
Create drafts and coordinate amendments to the Company’s CA Voluntary Plan.
Develop decks for training and presentations using PowerPoint.
Compile data for the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program (OFCCP) audits. Follow up on any audit inquiries.
Prepare the Company’s Quarterly Compliance Report and create all company-required Disability Program compliance materials.
Facilitate meetings with the third-party vendor National Appeals Unit.
Back up for the Disability Management Advisors that handle escalated issues, give guidance to work locations and others, and administer other disability related programs. Also, able to work with internal and external auditors when needed.
Seven or more years of experience in business writing.
Proficient in document layout using MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, technical or related discipline.
Experience editing with Adobe Acrobat DC.
Experience with editing a .pdf document.
Experience meeting deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
You should know …
Work Mode : Effective January 2022, this position’s work mode is Hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
