About Corporate Security’s Project Management Office (CSPMO):
CSPMO is trusted with execution of all physical security related projects and field technology installations within SCE’s service territory. CSPMO has a large number of active projects at any given time in various stages of execution. CSPMO is also responsible for execution and implementation of NERC and CIP-14 related compliance projects.
You will provide hands on project management, resource coordination, project budget management, vendor management, and various ancillary duties required to initiate, execute, and conclude each assigned project. This position will be leading cross functional teams and activities related to development of plans, schedules, and execution of assigned projects. The successful person will likely be assigned a range of short term and long-term projects to be executed simultaneously and will be responsible for independent decision-making to mitigate risks and resolve project related issues. Additionally, you will apply your technical expertise to review and approve detailed technical submittals and design standards. You will also lead and/or work collaboratively as a team member on technically complex security projects that requires review and approval of plans, drawings, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and assessments associated with the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of security systems and technologies.
We require significant field visitations to various SCE sites to verify, measure, inspect, and guide vendor activities. You will work in collaboration with internal and external resources and represents the Company with contractors, suppliers, other departments, and/or other parties as required. Interacts regularly with all levels of management. Acts as a key consultant to management for both functional and broad business issues.
Detailed things you will be doing…
Identifies and documents project requirements and budgetary needs and requirements for the various projects for capital improvements
Identifies, measures, and mitigates risks associated with security projects, alerting PMO manager and CS management of problem areas
Identifies and manages tasks, assigns and tracks resources related to requirements & budgets working with CS project managers and analysts
Develops and maintains engineering and construction standards
Review technical submittals, procedures, investigate and recommend improvement areas
Routinely conducts technical reviews of vendor installations to check for application of standards and quality adherence
Documents and evaluates complex technical standards, submittals, processes, and procedures
Communicates and presents project updates to partners to ensure awareness and escalate as needed
Promotes safety and safe work practices in alignment with SCE safety standards.
Qualifications we need you to have
Five years of technical experience related to physical security
Seven years of experience in project management in a related field
Two years of experience working with contract related matters (SOWs, Purchasing, Agreements and/or other related issues)
Two years of cross functional projects
Two years of leading and/or managing project team activities
Other things that will set you up for success…
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or other related discipline
California P.E. License
Solid ability to read and interpret construction and MEP drawings.
Experience interpreting and/or designing electrical single-line and logic diagrams
Experience on working with and generating CAD drawings
