About Customer & Operational Services:
Southern California Edison’s (SCE’s) Customer Service Organizational Unit (CS) shares the responsibility to safely deliver reliable, affordable electricity to our customers. We support this effort by working to meet customer expectations. Customer Service is dedicated to operational excellence and innovative thinking through our workforce in our call center, field operations, billing and payment center, outage and demand-side management and other service offerings.
The Business Planning Advisor will be responsible for leading efforts to build out and maintain Customer Service Operating Plans which provides a five-year forecast of key activities, resources and associated costs. Operating Plans allow for an integrated view of work effort activities used for business operations, budgets, and regulatory purposes. The database will profile the expansive CS portfolio of activities, which amounts to over $700M of spend.
Manages development and ongoing maintenance of five-year forecast of CS operating requirement needs for CS OU plans including accuracy and performance against plans
Responsible for facilitating monthly CS officer, executive and senior management discussions to discuss business performance and emerging work efforts.
Lead ad hoc operational planning and analysis projects to assess opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering Economics or other related discipline
Four years of project management experience
Seven or more years of experience with operational planning, business performance measurement and reporting, statistical or financial modeling
Three years of experience utilizing Microsoft excel for planning related work.
Master’s degree in Business, Economics or other related discipline
Experience with operational planning, forecasting and leading projects
Experience developing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in identifying customer and business problems, developing viable solutions and plans and managing resources and stakeholder expectations to execute plans.
